Day 3: Aswan, Philae Temple, and the Farah Nile cruise ship.

The excitement is high this morning as you go to one of the world’s most beautiful resorts, noted for nature, peace and quiet.

Aswan's name in the past was “Suene”, i.e. “market-place” was given the island because it was a main center for ivory trade. After exploring what the Aswan market has to offer today, we will visit the Philae Temple, which represents a fusion three great civilizations: Egyptian, Greek, and Roman. We will then continue to explore the Isis Temple before boarding our floating hotel for the next five days: The Farah.

Day 4: Kom Ombo, Edfu Temple, and Luxor

Kom Ombo is an unconventional double temple that is equally dedicated to the hawk headed god Haroeris (also known as Horus the Elder) and the crocodile god Sobek. Everything in this temple is perfectly symmetrical along the main axis, with twin entrances, two connected halls, and twin sanctaries, and represents the dual nature of the world. The Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the falcon god Horus and his wife Hathor, is one of the most beautifully preserved temples in all of Egypt. When you approach the temple complex, you will feel dwarfed by its enormous dimensions with a vast courtyard, towering columns, and high ceilings. It is said that every year she travels south from her temple in Dendera to visit Horus in Edfu, which was marked by enormous celebrations.

Day 5: The Temples of Karnak and Luxor

Today, we start our tour with a very special visit to the Giza Plateau, when no one else is there except our group.

As you reluctantly come alive, you will hear the incredible sounds of the entire city being called to prayer. Open your door and listen–feel the energy of the spirits–we are off to discover some of the most amazing Wonders of the World.
